Pipe bursting is achieved by pulling a specialized trenchless technology device through an existing pipe. This device shatters the old pipe, pushing the fragments into the surrounding soil. A new pipe, attached to the bursting device, is then pulled into place as the device advances, creating a seamless replacement without major excavation.
